OCTOBER 1, 2018 – J. Morales undertakes restoration and preservation of a Pasadena landmark.
With the purchase of the post office, designers begin planning for the next chapter of Pasadena’s history.

JAVIER MORALES, PE, PMP

Javier has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Houston. He is a Texas Registered Professional Engineer and a United States Coast Guard Veteran. He provides clients valuable expertise gained through a diverse background in the military, construction, structural engineering and project management. He began his career as a co-owner of a custom home construction firm that built approximately 100 single family homes. After receiving his degree in Engineering, Javier applied his experience in home construction to his work as a structural and windstorm engineer. He then diversified his experience by transitioning into the Oil and Gas industry, ultimately advancing in his career to a position of Operations Manager. Before branding his own company he had a successful record of overseeing the design, engineering, supply and fabrication of custom solutions for domestic and international projects valued up to $120MM. He has founded J. Morales as a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) with Historically Under-Utilized Business (HUB) and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) certifications. Outside the office, Javier is an avid traveler and a car enthusiast.

CATHLEEN HART, AIA, LEED AP, IIDA
Registered Architect, State of Texas No. 18685
Cathleen has a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University. She is a Texas Registered Architect with 35 years of architectural experience in a variety of project types. Her portfolio includes Office Buildings, Retail, Church Facilities, Computer and Science Labs, as well as Interior Space Planning for Medical, Corporate and Higher Education. Her portfolio includes industrial projects as well, these include Warehouses, Welding Schools as well as Hiring and Training Offices with Drug Testing Labs. Cathleen utilizes the principles of sustainable design to provide value to building owners while focusing on the safety, comfort and convenience for the occupants. She follows the projects from the original design concept through the completion of construction. She has been the recipient of three awards for Historic Rehabilitation. Outside the office, Cathleen enjoys flying with her husband in their single engine aircraft, tap dancing, choral singing and hand-bell ringing.

Allen Munz

Allen Munz is a Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor and a United States Marine Corp Veteran. Allen has over 60 years of experience in all aspects of surveying and is prominent in the surrounding areas for his extensive and unique perspectives. His relationships with local area jurisdictions facilitate a seamless working process. He has handled all aspects of project management for many complex surveying and platting projects while maintaining budgets, respecting deadlines, and ensuring accuracy. He understands the importance of producing quality products with honesty and integrity, something he has committed himself to do throughout his career. When not at work, Allen enjoys attending church, a good round of golf, and above all spending time with Betty, his wife of 60 years.
